If you plan to sit for the Series 6 exam on or after December 16, 2013, make sure that preparation materials/texts that you are using have incorporated the new subjects and emphasis of the revised FINRA Series 6 Study Guide. Don't use old materials that don't reflect FINRA's changes. The Series 6 exam will change on December 16, 2013. It is up to you to get new revised study materials.

CAUTION! FINRA CHANGES SERIES 6 EXAM AND STUDY GUIDE EFFECTIVE ON DECEMBER 16, 2013
Are you planning to take the Series 6 exam in the near future? If so, then take it sooner than later! FINRA announces that it has revised both the Series 6 exam and the Series 6 Study Guide. The effective date for the revisions is Monday, December 16, 2013.
