Study Guide Reference Numbers
We follow the syllabus and
content outline published by FINRA for the Series 6. As an aid for our Series 6 readers,
we have included FINRA outline numbers for reference. The Series 6 exam does
not quiz a candidate on the outline numbers. We insert them in our book solely
for those readers who want to refer to the outline. We insert the outline
numbers listed in FINRA's Study Outline and Content Guide, such as (1.2) or (2.4) next to major paragraphs. If you wish, you can freely
disregard these numbers, but they can be valuable in helping you to locate the topic in FINRA's
